Welcome to Sonoma County Autism Support for parents of children on the Autism Spectrum!
Welcome to Sonoma County Autism Support. This is a grassroots discussion board designed for we parents to connect with each other! If you have children on the Autism spectrum, please share your experiences, fears, and encouragement here with us. We invite you to ask questions about anything having to do with dealing with children on the spectrum, with the public school system, with getting much needed services for your children or about your dealings with the legal system as relates to your children who are on the Autism spectrum. We will be inviting some Autism professionals to join us as well, but the primary purpose of this board is to network with one another, share information, help one another with info on how to secure services for our children, arrange playdates, etc..
This group does not purport to be professionals in the Autism field, but our membership is made up of parents like you who are raising children with Autism. Because of our collective experience, this group might answer your questions, help you raise more questions, broaden your circle of friends, connect your with other children on the spectrum and/or encourage you to keep the faith and never give up in our effort to see to it that our very special childrens' needs are met!

FYI: The web address www.sonomacountyautismsupport.com points to this group, too. Perhaps a little easier to remember than the Ning address. Please tell your friends who have children on the spectrum. This is parents helping parents!

Please take the opportunity to post about your children in the Forums. I've created a forum to describe our children and another forum to describe ourselves (parents). We look forward to getting to know you all!
